Current roles.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Gain hands-on experience in AI and intelligent environment research. Support the development, installation, and testing of deployable systems at the living laboratory. Contribute to data collection, sensor deployment, system integration, and experimental studies while working alongside graduate students, postdocs, and faculty.
Volunteer Research & Development Support
Join the Prototype Living of Tomorrow community and contribute to intelligent living environment research. Volunteer opportunities span technical development, research support, outreach, demonstrations, documentation, media, design, and communication.
Post-Doctoral Researcher - Lab Operations Lead
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Prototype Living of Tomorrow living laboratory at KSU's 25-acre Field Station. This position serves as the operational backbone of our agentic AI research facility, coordinating real-world testing environments, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and managing the installation and integration of intelligent systems across multiple living spaces. You will bridge theory and practice, working at the intersection of AI, sensing, robotics, and human-centered design while maintaining on-site presence to ensure continuous operation of our research platform.
PhD Student Position - Real-Time AI Orchestration
Pursue doctoral research in real-time multi-agent AI orchestration and edge coordination architectures. Work on systems that connect perception, reasoning, and action across distributed intelligent environments with measurable response targets. Your research will advance agentic AI systems that observe, reason, and adapt in complex real-world living spaces, contributing to anticipatory computing and human-AI collaboration.
